Clayton Lake is located in northern Pushmataha County in southeastern Oklahoma and about 4 miles southeast of Clayton on Hwy 271. This 66-acre lake has about 2 miles of shoreline and is the focal point of Clayton Lake State Park which is located on the lake's western shores. Fishing at Clayton Lake is great for Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Sunfish, and Channel Catfish.

Although fishing and boating are major attractions to the area, there are horseback trail riding, hunting for deer and wild hogs, hiking in the mountains, motor bike riding in the mountain trails, and bird watching also. Whatever your desires are, individuals, couples, and families can really have a great time!

Sardis Lake is north of Clayton. Since Clayton, Oklahoma, is in between both Sardis Lake and Clayton Lake, you have one of the best vacation areas you can find. Sardis Lake is considered one of Oklahoma's top bass fishing lakes and Clayton Lake has all the same lake activities along with Clayton Lake State Park.

Buffalo Creek - Buffalo Creek is a short but very exciting whitewater stream with Class II to III ledge drops. The creek twists and turns frequently as it winds it way through the Kiamichi Mountains on its way to Broken Bow Lake.
Gary Sherrer Wildlife Management Area
Sardis Lake Recreation Area - There are 5 different Corps Managed Recreation Areas on the lake.
Minnetonka Christian Camp - Clayton
Flagpole Tower - Located 3.6 miles ESE of Clayton. The tower has an elevation of 1,844 feet.
Umbrella Rock - Located 3.7 miles from Clayton. This mountain pillar in Pushmataha County climbs to 1,745 feet above sea level.
Choctaw Council House -
Lake Nanih Waiya - Located just NW of Tuskahoma, The lake has 3 miles of  shoreline and 131 surface acres and is considered a great Wildlife Department fishing lake.
Robbers Cave - Near Wilburton.
Talimena Scenic Drive - A 54 mile scenic drive between Talihina, OK and Mena, AR.
